AgileCC is a single-project/multi-project CCPM software. With AgileCC, you can backward schedule a plan, identify the Critical Chain, size and place both the Project and Feeding Buffer, calculate and display buffer penetration, add drum resources, and size and place capacity buffer.
Besides this basic CCPM capability, AgileCC has several advanced features that can help users apply the Critical Chain concepts in a simple and flexible way.

AgileCC offers all the basic PM functionality of MS Project, it is not an add-in module for MS Project, it is a standard windows application which can run on a PC without MS Project.
1. Support using Critical Chain concepts when the user balance resource usage manually
The current CCPM products depend on the resource leveling functionality. They solve the resource over-allocation automatically, however many managers would like to assign the resource manually so that they can specify the start time of every task.
It is difficult to apply Critical Chain concepts when the user balance resource usage manually with the current CCPM software, because they use Forward/Backward scheduling to solve the resource over-allocation automatically, and add feeding buffers to protect the critical chain. The user has to resize the feeding buffers to adjust the start time of tasks, it is complicated and difficult to learn.
AgileCC offers a simple method to apply Critical Chain concepts when the user balance resource usage manually. The feeding buffer task is not required in AgileCC. The user schedules the tasks with average estimates of duration and adds the project buffer. The user can specify the start time of any task , and need not add the feeding buffer task and backward schedule.
However, the user still can apply the Critical Chain concepts in such a plan with AgileCC. Generally there are actual (or latent) feeding buffers in such a plan even if the user has not added any feeding buffer task. If the size of the actual feeding buffer is not sufficient, AgileCC can highlight the influenced tasks with yellow color; the critical chain may be impacted in worst case. The user can specify an earlier start date to this task to achieve sufficient actual feeding buffer.

2. Support the task relationship between summary task
Most of the current CCPM software does not support links between summary tasks. It is somewhat inconvenient without links between summary tasks. The user has to add additional links and milestones to remove the links between summary tasks. This conversion method is complicated and difficult to learn.
AgileCC can use the Critical Chain method in the plan with links between summary tasks, and it is very useful to make a brief schedule.
